What We Do

Concerts for Cancer raises money by throwing fundraiser events… we then use that money to fund experience grants so those that are fighting cancer can get a temporary escape from the challenges of their journey.

Consumers crave unique experiences. 

Touring musicians seek an alternate and supplemental form of revenue generation and brand development. The Concerts for Cancer foundation will create unique experiences that enable touring bands to connect with their fans while helping to raise funds for a cause that has touched so many people.  
Our primary fundraiser events will take place in non-traditional venues and/or will give fans an opportunity to interact with musicians. Special attention will be given to set design, lighting and production to create a living room/listening room vibe. Concerts may take place in back yards, parks, museums, living rooms, art galleries or other unique and special settings. 

Attendees will pay a premium minimum but uncapped donation to attend the event and will have an opportunity to bid on other add-ons (meet n greets, vip treatment, merch, etc.). The events will be captured on video and produced for web distribution to increase awareness of the foundation and to encourage ongoing donations and sponsorships. 

In addition to these primary events, Concerts for Cancer will partner with venues, artists and promotors to increase awareness by becoming an affiliate sponsor of local concerts and festivals. The intention of the affiliate program is to expand awareness of the foundation by receiving high visibility placement of the logo and URL at no cost in exchange for press opportunities. Additionally, C4C will negotiate tickets and/or VIP access to these events that we can use to extend to families that are battling cancer. 

Experience Grants

Funds raised from all events will be used to provide “Experience Grants” to Cancer patients and/or their caregivers. There are two types of experience grants:

“Music Heals Grants,” our most common grants, are customized VIP packages for cancer patients and their caregivers at music events near them that hopefully takes their mind off the stress of their battle, if only for one evening. These experience grants will be customized to the desires of each grantee but may include highlights such as limo transportation, dinner, premium seating, merchandise, an on-site VIP experiences host, etc. 

“St John Heals Grants,” are specialized, limited inventory grants reserved for the most unique, extreme and/or special cases where the grantee and their family need time away together to celebrate life and love. C4C partners with our amazing donors and network of on-island partners to build an amazing island escape, which may include airfare, upscale lodging, excursions, dinners, personal concierge service, etc. The spiritual power of the island of St John and her amazing people is profound and played a big role in the mental, physical and spiritual healing of our founder and her family. Our hope is that these grants can play a similar role with our grantee families.
